Today my sweet bestie Addie I are kicking off our Thankful Thursday Link-Up party. I must say, I sometimes struggle to recognize all of the beauty that life possesses. I get caught up in day to day life, let little situations stress me out way too much, and leave little time to reflect on the positives. My hopes in starting this series is that I will sit back and embrace all that life has to offer, and give thanks in all circumstances, the good and the bad.
Here are a few of the many things I am thankful for this week:
I am thankful for prayer.
God is everywhere and in everything, but sometimes I get caught up in this crazy life and forget to turn to God for help and direction. Prayer gives me strength, forgiveness, hope, joy and peace, and I am so thankful for a God who loves me unconditionally.
I am thankful for two of my favorite verses that remind me to call upon the Lord for help:
“As for me, I shall call upon the God, and the Lord will save me…He will redeem my soul in peace from the battle which is against me.” Psalm 55:18
“Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.” Psalm 55:18
I am thankful for little beams of sunshine that appear in the midst of the freezing cold.
And just when I thought the snow was melting, another blizzard decided it was time to make it's appearance in the world, in my world to be exact...
but there is always something good amongst the bad if you are just willing to look for it.... and in this case, I was looking pretty hard. ;)
Until yesterday, as I was walking to class, the sunshine finally peaked through the sky and I instantly felt a burst of happiness. All it takes is one little ray of sunshine and a drop of Vitamin D. beating down on my face to turn my mood around, and for that I am thankful.
I am thankful for Ann Tweedale Cooperative.
I know I have talked before about Ann Tweedale, the wonderful place I call home here at Purdue before. In all honestly though, my heart has been over flowing with thankfulness for this place and all of the sweet girls that live inside. As all of my besties and I approach graduation, I can't help but treasure every last memory we create together here at Annie's Place.
I am thankful for recruitment, where decorating our house from floor to ceiling in the theme of Candy Land was entirely normal, and I am thankful for the friends I was able to share all of the "sweetness" with.
I am thankful for laughter. Really, really thankful for laughter.
I think the sound of laughter has the capability to brighten anyones day.
You can't tell me this doesn't put a gigantic smile on your face. So precious.
Okay, could this be more on point? I honestly think not. It is pure perfection.
Laughter and sleep have the ability to fix anything. Just another reason to be thankful for laughter.
This is my life moto, I am certain.
I am thankful to be surrounded by such wonderful people who continuously put a smile on my face and bring so much joy and laughter into my life.
Happy Thursday, Everyone! Thanks for linking up!
