Happy Birthday Dad!

Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday to you all! 

Try imagining someone who has the willingness to always put others before themselves, the ability to instantaneously fill a room with laughter, the competitive spirit of a true athlete, the heart of a servant, and someone who has 49 years packed full of perfect memories. You are imagining a person that I believe to be quite great. And that person would be my dad. And today would happen to be his 49th Birthday! 

My dad is the glue that holds our family together. And he is also the orchestrator behind so much of the laughter that composes the dynamic of my family as well. 

He has raised us to love, play and watch sports, and as you can tell, he has clearly given us very little freedom to choose our own teams. I think I was singing the Redskin fight song before I could recite my ABC's if that gives you any indication of how the Hinen's were raised...

My dad really is my rock. He always knows exactly what to say at all times. 

My dad and my mom have such a solid relationship centered around the Lord and I am so thankful to have them as my parents. 

My dad is also very over ambitious and is always wanting to try new things. Last year for Christmas he got a banjo and for about three weeks straight the whole house was woken up at 6 am because for some reason he just felt compelled to "schedule" his practices at that time. 

One day he woke up and decided he wanted to be a real estate agent. About three months later he had his license and of course, I had to snap his picture with his "Sold" sign after he sold his first house. 

My dad is absolutely notorious for sitting in the red chair in the basement. He is obsessed with red and black and I could not stop cracking up when my brother sent me this. Brent is taking red and black to a whole new level here...

Happy Birthday, Dad!!!
