Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Everyone!!!
The weekend is finally here!!! I am kicking off the excitement with another link-up of Friday Favorites with some of my favorite bloggers. Check out Andrea's blog called MomfessionalsErika's blog called A Little Bit of Everything, and Narci's blog called Grace and Love. Their blogs are so inspiring and they are a must read!

#1. Beach cover-ups
You can't go to the beach without the perfect cover-up! It's so practical and makes getting ready for a day in the sun so easy!

Right now Target has my cover-up and other cute options buy one get one 50% and I honestly think I may go back and snag a few more in different colors.
I just have never had a cover-up so comfy and light.

I am also obsessing over how adorable these cover-ups are too! I love the sheer and lace combo...so classy, and sweet!

And these tiny, adorable things are just too precious for the little ones in your life. I wish they made that blue striped cover up in my size.

#2. Good laughs with good friends
Okay, I still occasionally burst out laughing thinking about this story. Last week I headed to Orlando with two of my besties for a week at Disney World.

Who knew a freaking toilet would create so much drama on the trip, but let me tell you friends, it certainly did. To start off we had some minor troubles remembering/locating what resort we were staying in. I blame it on the 14 hour car ride, but some may say we are just plain crazy.

It gets worse though. My dear friend Taylor had used the restroom and couldn't figure out how to flush the toilet, so she insisted that I come in and help her.

My first thought was, "this lady wants to be an optometrist and can't figure out how to flush a toilet...seems a bit problematic"

That is until I got in there and couldn't figure it out either... then my next thought was..
"oh my gosh, we are on Punk'd. Ashton Kutcher is about to pop out from somewhere."

But a few minutes passed and no Ashton Kutcher and still no signs of how to flush the toilet. I am telling you we literally examined what we thought was every square inch of the thing and our minds were stumped.

Taylor ended up calling the front desk lady and she informed us that there was either a lever on the side or a button on the top...

and sure enough....
There was a button of the top that a little roll of toilet paper had been camouflaging. Some may ask why we never thought to move the toilet paper roll, and friends, I wish I could give you a good answer.

I have never felt more intelligent than in this moment...

#3. Spring Handbags
Earlier this week I blogged all about my winter blues and how I was coping with bright colorful handbags. I am swooning over all of the adorable options Target has to offer and they are even buy one get one 50%.

#4. Thankful Thursdays

Every Thursday my bestie Addie and I link-up for Thankful Thursday! It is one of my absolutely favorite parts of the week!

Thankful Thursday's are all about setting the stress aside, forgetting about your to-do list and capturing all of the positives in your life.

I don't know about you, but sometimes it's easy for me to get wrapped up in day to day life and I let the little things overshadow all of the great things in my life! This series is a great way to remind myself of all that I am grateful for.

We would LOVE for you all to join us as well! Grab the "Thankful Thursday" graphic & link-up with me or Addie, at She Who Longs to Be next Thursday!

We are so excited to hear about all of the wonderful things you all are thankful for!

Have a great weekend, friends! Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful Thursday

My sweet bestie Addie and I are kicking off our Thursday with lots of thankfulness!
If you are anything like me you know how hectic life can be. Sometimes I lose sight of the many blessings, big and small, that fill my life with so much joy everyday.

I love Thankful Thursday because it forces me to reflect on the many positives throughout the week and allows me to truly be thankful for the beauty amongst life's craziness.

There are so many things that I am thankful for this week, here are just a few:

1. that Christ died on the cross for our sins
2. friendships that bless me daily
3. laughter

10. honesty
11. the ability to sing horribly but have fun while doing it
12. a good nights rest
13. sunrises and sunsets
14. random acts of kindness
15. answered prayers
16. good, sweaty workouts with friends

April Fools Day: Prankity Prank Prank

I hate to admit it, but I get far too much enjoyment out of simple, harmless pranks. My friend Madi and I thrived on pranks in high school. We filled up her entire boyfriend's car with balloons, painted murals of beach scenes on the hood of our friends' cars with condiments, and we even went as far as dumpster diving for old household items to make a living room arrangement in our friend's driveway, we were lucky enough to even find an old toilet to use.

It's no surprise at all that when April Fool's Day rolls around I am bound to have something up my sleeve. Pinterest was my saving grace this year and was full of hilarious ideas.

Here are just a few:

What could start your morning off better than a little surprise in your deodorant stick...

It would be a bit bizarre to open up the fridge and find everything staring at you.

Who wouldn't want some "brownies" for dessert after dinner?

If brownies don't sound good, maybe a nice chocolate covered "apple" will make your mouth water...

or maybe just your eyes... ;)

I have been wanting to try this one for a long time...

Happy April Fool's Day, friends! Are you up to any pranking?
