Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Everyone!!!
The weekend is finally here!!! I am kicking off the excitement with another link-up of Friday Favorites with some of my favorite bloggers. Check out Andrea's blog called MomfessionalsErika's blog called A Little Bit of Everything, and Narci's blog called Grace and Love. Their blogs are so inspiring and they are a must read!

#1. A Weekend Of Relaxation
I used to have the hardest time relaxing. I am a definite Type A personality and my mind is always going ninety miles an hour. I used to try and sit down and watch and TV show and end up spending the whole 30 minutes having anxiety and stressing about what all I still needed to do.

Well, luckily that has recently flown out the window and I have been embracing relaxation to it's fullest potential. In fact, I had a wonderful weekend of doing all things relaxing and I loved every second of it.

#2. Crossing Things Off My To-Do List

Although I do like relaxing, being productive when I absolutely need to be is another one of my favorites.

This picture is from a few weeks ago.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE planning out my week, but what I love even more is being able to check things off of my to-do list.

This week I tackled numerous tasks that have been weighing on me and it felt oh so good to put it all behind me.

Oh and these Stablio Colored Pens will change your life. They certainly changed mine.

#3. Booking a Trip to Florida & Going to Disney
I get to experience four of my absolute favorite things all at once starting March 15th.

#1. My Last Spring Break of my Undergraduate Degree

#2. Spent soaking up the rays in Florida

#3. Oh and getting to spend a day at the most magical place on earth.
I mean what 22 year old doesn't want to go to Disney World?

#4. And I get to do it all with my best friends, Taylor & Addie!
We are pretty much soul sisters.

Ever since our freshman year of college we have been planning this exact spring break vacation. This week we made it official and booked our hotel & bought our tickets! I am so thrilled to embark this adventure with my dearest friend, Taylor!

And words cannot even begin to express how happy I am that this girl gets to come along! She is just one of those people who gets me, not to mention she has the sweetest heart and the best one-liners. I think this years spring break is going to be one for the books, friends! I am so pumped!

#4. Cute Workout Clothing

Can I get an amen?

Here are some of my favorite LuLu Lemon pieces right now:

As much as I love LuLu, I honestly cannot afford to fill my workout attire full of it.
Target has so many wonderful options that are so similar that I love just as much!

What are your favorites this week? Can't wait to hear!

Happy Friday, friends! :)

Thankful Thursday

My sweet bestie Addie and I are kicking off our Thursday with lots of thankfulness!
If you are anything like me you know how hectic life can be. Sometimes I lose sight of the many blessings, big and small, that fill my life with so much joy everyday.

I love Thankful Thursday because it forces me to reflect on the many positives throughout the week and allows me to truly be thankful for the beauty amongst life's craziness.

Here are just a few of the things that I am thankful for this week:

1. My friends & Their accomplishments
I know I have said it before, but I really hit the best friend jackpot, folks. My friends are gorgeous on the outside, but even more beautiful on the inside. Each of them are talented beyond measure and truly do make this world a brighter place.

Today, I am extra thankful for my sweet roommate Katie.

She has the sweetest heart in the entire world. This week Katie is headed to Alabama to interview for Physical Therapy school. I can't think of anyone more deserving than Katie. When I am crippled and gray, Katie is going to be my go to girl. So thankful for her and so excited to see how she impacts those around her dominating in the physical therapy world!

2. Hillsong Pandora Station
I have a HUGE obsession with Hillsong Pandora station. I am so thankful the uplifting and encouraging music that adds so much positivity to my life.

Here are some of my favorite Christian songs this week that I am especially thankful for:
1. I am Not Alone by Kari JObe
2. Come As You Are by Crowder
3. How Can It Be by Lauren Daigle
4. Lord I'm Ready Now by Plumb
5. He Knows My Name by Francesca Battistelli
6. Completely by Among The Thirsty
7. King of My Heart by Love & The Outcome
8. Made New by Lincoln Brewster
9. Fix My Eyes by For King & Country
10. Thrive by Casting Crowns

3. Yummy food that keeps my belly full
This is one that I REALLY take for granted. Goodness gracious, I can be quite the picky eater and I also have a tendency to get a little cranky when I am just the slightest bit hungry.

I truly am so fortunate to have access to food 24/7.

There are over 805 million people in the world who are malnourished.

Just some food for thought.

I honestly cannot even wrap my head around this. It breaks my heart. I am so thankful and blessed to always having a full, overstuffed belly.

4. Nail Painting Parties
I am thankful for girl time with some of my favorite ladies. After a long week, it was glorious to sit relax and have some quality catch up time while painting nails.

Remember how I said that my friends are really talented? Well here is another example of how talented my dear friend Madi is at painting nails.

5. The Power of Nasal Decongestant and a fiancĂ© whose going to be a pharmacist
I am not trying to throw a pity party for myself, I am simply just stating that last week I looked like a bus hit me, shifted into reverse, hit me again, and then put her back in drive, and hit me again.

And if that image is too gory for you, just picture Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer and you'll have a nice little visual of what I was rocking last week.

A nose that was as bright red as it could be. I have to contribute the red nose to the fact that I am a poor college student and carried around a roll of toliet paper to blow my nose with. Some battles are worth fighting, and going out in zero degree weather was not worth another box of tissues at the time.

Do I regret it now? Certainly so.

However, I have the sweetest fiancĂ© in the entire world. He brought me an assortment of medicine along with a list of when to take each medicine. He's in pharmacy school, so I guess I should trust his judgement, right?

In all honesty, I am so incredibly THANKFUL for this man.

What are you thankful for today?

Liebster Award

Friends, if you haven't visited Kimberley and Patricia over at Our Blog Around The Corner you are missing out. They are mother and daughter and take turns sharing their wonderful ideas on their blog. They are absolutely adorable and so incredibly talented.
They were so incredibly sweet enough to nominate me for the Liebster Award. I had never heard of this award until Our Blog Around The Corner but I absolutely love it's purpose. The Liebster Award was created to recognize blogs that have less than 3000 follows and gives readers an opportunity to get to know the face behind the blog with a little question and answer sesh! Once the questions have been answered, the fun continues by nominating a few more favorite blogs.
I am just so excited to join in on all of this fun thanks to  Our Blog Around The Corner

Q: What is your blogging process?
A: I honestly have no special tips, tricks, or secrets to my blogging method. When I feel inspired, I write, which probably explains why the majority of my posts are so random.

I do kick-off every Thursday with lots of thankfulness in a link-up with one of my besties AddieI love Thankful Thursday because it forces me to reflect on the many positives throughout the week and allows me to truly be thankful for the beauty amongst life's craziness.

I also love linking up with a few of my favorite blogs, MomfessionalsA Little Bit Of Everything, and Grace and Love for Friday Favorites! It's always so much fun!
Q: What was the best thing to happen to you this week?
A: ME AND MY BESTIE BOOKED A TRIP TO FLORIDA!!!!!!
Can I get an AMEN for warm weather?

I am craving some Vitamin D like no other and nothing makes my heart happier than knowing I will be spending my last college spring break in Orlando with my best friend Taylor. And just when I thought that things couldn't get any better we decided to embrace the experience and spend one day at Disney while we are there! I am out of this world ecstatic.
Q: If you had one super power what would it be?
A: Truthfully, this question always stumps me. I think I am going to have to agree with Kimberley from Our Blog Around The Corner on this one. I want the powers to abolish the snow for once and for all. I have never been more over something in my life.

I am going to miss Purdue, but I can definitely live without walking to class a half of a mile away in the snow.

and this pretty much sums up why I dream to one day be a southern belle.

and shamefully, the winter is fighting hard to suck the fun right out of my life.
Oh, and it's testing my patience with humanity just a little too much, too.

This could not be anymore accurate.
Q: Are you a cat person, a dog person or neither?
A: If you asked me this last week there would of been a 99.9% probability that I would have said neither. Maybe the cold weather is getting to me, but something strange happened overnight and I woke up feeling like I couldn't live another day without having a pet dog.

And I feel like if I am going to take the plunge and become a proud owner of a fur baby, then it needs to be the absolute, most adorable, and cuddly creature in the world, and it should probably look exactly like this....
I shall have a golden doodle and name it Theodore and I shall call him "Teddy" for short. ;)
Q: What was the last song you listened to?
A: Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.
I have a ridiculous obsession with this song and have listened to it on repeat an unspeakable amount of times, to the point where there is a high probability that I sing it unconsciously in my sleep.

Q: Do you prefer morning, afternoon or night?
A: I am every single bit of a morning person. I love the peace and serenity that the morning time brings. I enjoy nothing more than a cup of freshly brewed coffee and some quiet time in the word before I let the fast pace of the world take ahold of my day.

Q: Are you extroverted, introverted or a mix of both?
A: I would have to say that I am a pretty even mixture of both. Depending on what side of the bed I woke up on, what you are asking me to do, and where I am has a lot to do with whether I am going to be outgoing or shy that day.

For instance, put me up on a stage in front of hundreds of people, I'm going to be shy.
Piddle in my pants, sprint off the stage, and shed a few tears kind of shy.

Q: What fashion trend can you completely not stand?
A: For as much love as I had for them as a child, I think it's safe to say that I could live without seeing jelly shoes ever again. Due to my online shopping addiction  I have recently been seeing jelly shoes for sale all over the place. Am I the only one that fears this 80's style trying to make a comeback in the fashion industry in 2015?
No. Just please no.

Q: Name one thing you can’t live without and why.
A: I can't live without laughter. I am a firm believer that laughter makes everything better.

Q: Finally, if you could achieve one thing from blogging, what would it be?
A: My blog has truly become my happy place. I have received an unexpected sense of gratefulness and joy from all of the love and support I have been blessed with since starting my blog. Miss Matilda May has allowed me to document and reflect on my life, while having the wonderful opportunity to read and be inspired by other people's lives as well. I hope to continue to embrace the experience, build friendships through the connections I make blogging, and continue to feel inspired daily.
I would like to nominate my sweet friends at She Who Longs To BeThe Middle SisterOn My Way & This N Bliss to join along!

Friday Favorites: Wishing For Spring to Sprung

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

The weekend is finally here!!! I am kicking off the excitement with another link-up of Friday Favorites with some of my favorite bloggers. Check out Andrea's blog called MomfessionalsErika's blog called A Little Bit of Everything, and Narci's blog called Grace and Love. Their blogs are so inspiring and they are a must read!

#1. FLORAL and more FLORAL

Hi. My name is Maddie and I am addicted to floral patterns.

Here are some of my favorite outfit inspirations from Pinterest:

Here are my favorite floral patterned items I am adding into my cart this week:

I don't even have a child, nor do I plan on having a child for a very.very.very. long time, but this little dress is too cute to pass up. I think David's niece needs this for her birthday.

Spring Break is right around the corner & my sweet friend Taylor and I just booked a little vaca to Florida. With that being said I have my eyes peeled out for a new swimsuit. I know you are shocked, but I think floral is the way to go.. ;)

#2. Pretty Blooms are another one of my Spring favorites

There is just something about fresh, pretty flowers that brighten up a room like no other. It's the true sign of warm weather and great days to come!

Look at how breathtaking these pretty spring blooms are!
I am swooning over the mounds of cheerfulness and the variety of colors!

#3. Dreaming about all of my favorite things to do in the Spring...

Spring is the perfect temperature...not too hot, not too cold, which makes it the ideal time to squeeze in some of my very favorite activities!

I love love love playing a little basketball with my fiancé. Things get a little competitive between the two of us, but if I'm lucky, he occasionally lets me win. ;)

Springtime also means Easter Sunday!
I love spending time with family celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!

And decorating Easter eggs of course. Doesn't my brother look so thrilled...

Oh and Spring is the season where my special someone celebrates his birthday.

Mom's Day for Ann Tweedale is also in the Spring. I absolutely cherish this time with my mom and grandma and all of my besties with their mom's and grandma's as well! Looking forward to one last Mom's Day before graduation!

Speaking of graduation, here is a little throwback to when my brother graduated high school two years ago. This year, my sister Macie will be graduating from high school in the Spring and I will be graduating from college. Friends, it's crazy how fast time flies.

Spring is also the start of lots of outdoor concerts with all of my favorite friends.

Oh and Spring is the perfect time to have a little giraffe munch on your hair.
Who wouldn't love that?

#4. I have also been craving my FAVORITE Spring foods!

One of my favorite spring/summer foods is pizza on the grill. I crave this during the winter months and just thinking about it right now is making my mouth water.

To read all about how my family makes pizza on the grill click here.

These tasty things look so scrumptious.

I want these Shrimp Tacos in my belly.

and this blackened chicken and strawberry salad looks awfully heavenly.

and who wouldn't want to chow down on some mighty divine Strawberry Pie Crumb Bars

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
